Soundboy Killaz Tour ft P.O.D. + Alien Ant Farm- Sep 19, House of Blues
Rockers P.O.D., Alien Ant Farm, and Powerflo are taking the stage at the House of Blues on Sep 19 with the Soundboy Killaz Tour.
Christian Nu Metal rockers Payable on Death (P.O.D.) are known for their hits “Alive,” and “Youth of the Nation,” P.O.D. have sold over 12 million records with a career spanning over two decades. The band is well known for their rap-metal/ nu metal/ reggae-infused alternative sound.
Alien Ant Farm well know for their cover of Michael Jackson’s hit “Smooth Criminal” which reached number one on the Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart and brought the band global notoriety. The band’s style crosses many genres of rock and punk rock with influences such as Primus and Faith No More.
Powerflo, are what would be considered a supergroup, a coming together of Sen Dog of the band Cypress Hill, Billy Graziadei of Biohazard, Roy Lozano of Fear Factory, Christian Olde Wolbers of Downset and Worst’s Fernando Schaefer. Unsurprisingly given their respective backgrounds theirs is a sound which offers an amalgamation of hip-hop, metal, punk, and rock.

Los Angeles indie-pop trio LANY will be kicking off the second leg of their new tour right here in New Orleans. With an ever-expanding band of followers in tow, their heartthrob appeal is as contagious as their music. They have been very busy over the past few years touring the globe, supporting global superstars such as John Mayer and appearing in festivals such as Lollapalooza. Now they are promoting their debut album, LANY, which features singles such as”Good Girls” and “The Breakup”. Lany are known for their feel-good beats and heartfelt lyrics. They have mastered how to connect with their audience and they command a huge following, this band is destined for great things.

These Canadian Indie Rockers are promoting their fifth studio album Everything Now. The band first rose to fame with their 2004 breakthrough album Funeral attracting widespread critical acclaim. The album also featured on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Their new offering follows their signature experimental direction and features collaborations with some of the industries most recognized and respected producers, to include Steve Mackey of Pulp, Geoff Barrow of Portishead, and, Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter. This band has their finger on the pulse, their lyrics are a commentary on topical issues which they pair with an eclectic sound. The result? Music that will not only get you thinking but get you moving.
