Right time to buy Washington Wizards Tickets

This could be the year the Washington Wizards make a run into the postseason. If you thought about buying tickets then this is the time to do it. We know how expensive basketball tickets can be. Although we want you to focus on a budget, it’s important to keep the experience level ahead of it. With a great seat, you’ll have a great time. Let us show you how you can save a little bit of money while researching your tickets.

The listings below are games from the beginning of the season all the way through the championship. You will find games for both home and away. There is a chance a parking pass may show up. This is something we will discuss down below.

Right Time to Buy Washington Wizards Tickets

With all of the research we’ve done over the years we’ve discovered a few things that may help you save money. Buying tickets can be a pain and we understand your dilemma. Sometimes you just have to pull the trigger and hope for a great time.

Around two weeks before the game starts is when you want to really start looking for seats. This is an area where supply and demand are fairly equal. As demand starts to get lower the prices of tickets will also drop. Ticket sellers who are unable to sell their seats during the premium time will look to recoup as much as they can. It’s up to you to find special deals by looking at certain sections and seeing how the price fluctuates. You will be surprised at how many people will drop their prices way below other ticket sellers.

Look for games that occur during the week. You will pay less than for games that occur on the weekend. With everyone’s busy schedule a Saturday night game versus a Tuesday night game would be better. Demand for a weekday game will be less compared to a weekend.

Also, consider the team the Washington Wizards are facing. A game against the Philadelphia 76ers or New York Knicks will be way more expensive than a game against the Utah Jazz or Denver Nuggets.

Places to Sit in the Capital One Arena

There are many great seats located in the Capital One Arena. This is where you need to decide on how good of a time you want. A great seat will go a long way and may be worth the extra cost. Here is our view of the Capital One Arena seating chart.

Lower Level – Consider the lower level if you want to be near the action. You have great views and sounds of the game. If want to sit behind the Washington Wizards bench look for section 101 and if you want to sit behind the visitor’s bench look for section 121. You can also watch players come out of the different tunnels through sections 103 and 104.

VIP Box Seats – These seats are right behind the basket. They give you some excellent views of all the action coming at you. Consider these if you have a few extra bucks.

Courtside Seats – Courtside seats are the most exciting seat in the NBA. If you really want a serious experience then these seats are for you. They will be the most expensive in the building so keep that in mind.

200 Level – Sitting in the 200 level is perfect for those that want to chill and watch the game. You have access to shorter lines at the bathroom and concessions. The prices are fairly reasonable at this level.

Upper Level – We highly suggest you avoid the upper level if you can. We know money can be tight sometimes, but this is one thing you want to avoid. Experience should always come before the budget.

Do You Need to Park Your Car?

Parking your car near the Capital One Arena can be kind of a pain. Just like parking in any major city location, you’ll end up spending a good amount of money. We highly recommend you get access to one of the mobile parking apps. You’ll have access to parking spots for around $15.

Buying Tickets in Other Ways

There are many different ways of buying tickets to the Washington Wizards. We would like to share with you a couple of options that you may not have considered. Although they may not meet all your requirements they could possibly be a great way to not only save money but enjoy more basketball games.

Season Tickets – If you thought about buying season tickets at one point in your life this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. Owning season tickets will allow you to attend as many games as you wish. To offset your cost you can sell your seats for the games you don’t attend. Although this takes some effort you can recoup the money that you spent and possibly have a return on your investment.

Single Game Tickets – If you’re here just for one game then you’re like most people. A single-game ticket will get you in the arena. One thing to remember for a single game is you’ll most likely pay a higher premium.

Group Tickets – The Washington Wizards organization provides group tickets for those who want to attend more than one or two games. You will get access to a schedule of 2 to 8 games during the year. You will not be able to select which games you want to go to. A lot of these games will occur during the week as well. Keep this in mind when you are setting up your family schedule.

This is for risk-tolerant people who are willing to get shut out of going into the game. There are no guarantees of getting your tickets at the last second.
