Jennifer Lopez hits the road this summer with the “It’s My Party” tour, the first in the last 6 years. The tour kicks off 7th of June with a two nights performance in Inglewood, California, features stops in locations like Denver, Dallas, Chicago, New York and wraps up on 26th of July with a show in Miami, Florida. Lopez will celebrate her 50th birthday performing live in front of her North American fans, which are promised a party mix from Jennifer’s new and classic playlist, amazing set-up, mesmerizing choreography and dancers and other elements that will make this experience unique.
The singer released her last studio album back in 2014, when “A.K.A” had contributions from Rick Ross, Nas, Iggy, Pitbull, as well as Sia and Chris Brown.There was no events found by jennifer lopez.
Born Jennifer Lynn Lopez on 24th of July 1969 in Bronx, New York, in a family of Puerto Rican descent, she took singing and dancing lessons as a child. In 1986, during her last high school year, she got a small part in the film “My Little Girl”. She went to college but dropped out to pursue a career in acting. Her parents didn’t agree with her decision, so she left her family home and went to live by herself in Manhattan. After few roles in stage musicals, she made her debut in television in 1990 when she appeared in the comedy show “In Living Color”. Her breakthrough in Hollywood movies came in 1997 when she played the role of Tejana, a murdered singer, in the biopic “Selena”, which made $35 million at the box-office with a budget of $20 million. From there on, her performance in other movies increased her success: “U-Turn” and “Anaconda” in 1997, “Out of Sight” in 1998.
In 1999, Lopez made her move in pop music, releasing her debut album called “On the 6”. The album sold more than 8 million copies all over the world, with the single “If You Had My Love” becoming an international hit, reaching #1 in “Billboard 100” and bringing the singer a nomination to “Grammy Awards”. The album won platinum certification and was followed in 2000 by another huge success single – “Waiting for Tonight”. The single brought Lopez the same year a nomination to “Grammy Awards” for “Best Dance Recording”.
The next year she released her second album – “J. Lo”, which sold more than 270,000 copies the first week alone. All this time she continued to appear in movies. The album “J to tha L-O! The Remixes” released in 2003 was included in the “Guinness World Record” for first remix album to reach Number 1 on the “Billboard 200”.
In 2005, Lopez released the album “Rebirth” and in 2007 she offered her fans the Spanish-language album “Como ama una mujer”, which reached #1 in “Billboard Latin album chart” and also performed well in the pop charts. More albums followed: “Brave” (2007), “Love?” (2011) and the already mentioned “A.K.A” (2014).
In 2012, from January to July, she became one of the judges of “American Idol” and the same year she entered the “Guinness World Record” again, when the single “On the Floor” from the album “Dance Again … the Hits” was labeled as the “Highest Viewed Female Music Video of All Time”. In 2013 she was granted a star on “Hollywood Walk of Fame”.
As for her personal life, Lopez was married three times and has two children, twins, with the actor, singer, record producer, and songwriter Marc Anthony, to whom she married in 2004 and divorced in 2014.
