Best Time to Buy Oklahoma City Thunder Tickets
After many years of being in the ticket industry, you have a tendency to learn some of the angles of saving money on your purchase. We want to share with you some tips on finding great seats for a reasonable price. Timing is part of the solution but it isn’t everything.
Supply and demand will be active around two weeks before the game you want to see. The good news is there are tons of games in a season. With so many games, prices will fluctuate based on several things including the opponent they are up against. If you are looking to save the most amount of money trying to find games against much weaker opponents or teams with smaller fan bases is the way to go.
Also, consider games during the week. Games on a Tuesday night will be cheaper than a game on a Friday night. It’s up to you to decide whether you would like to see a game on a weekend and possibly enjoy it a bit more.
Look for price fluctuations in certain sections around the arena. Pick three or four areas you would like to sit in and watch how prices change throughout the week. Once you see a price drop it’s a good time to press the buy button.
Where to Sit at Paycom Center?
When it comes to finding a great seat it’s up to your budget to make that happen. We want you to have the best time possible at the Paycom Center. Courtside seats will be way more expensive than seats on the upper level. It’s up to you to decide what kind of memory you want to have. Here is a breakdown of how we see the seating chart.
Lower Level – The lower level seats provide the best views of the court. You can also take in the sounds of the game better. If you would like to sit behind the Oklahoma City bench look for section 117. If you are a fan of the opponent look for section 114. You can also give high-fives at the tunnels of both teams through sections 118 and 119 as well as sections 112 and 113.
Courtside Seats – If you ever wanted to experience courtside seats now is your chance. Not only will you have the best seats in the arena, but you also have access to VIP parking, in-seat waiter service, access to special lounges, and more.
Club Level Seats – When it comes to watching games, club-level seats are the way to go. Although the price tag will be much more than you would like to pay, the amenities are top-notch. Look for all-inclusive food and soft drinks, VIP parking passes, smaller lines to the bathrooms and concessions, and much more.
Upper Level – We can’t stress this enough, if you can avoid the upper level please do so. Although it will get you into the arena it won’t give you that memory or experience you are looking for. Being so far from the court makes it very difficult to see and you’ll most likely end up watching it on the big screen above.
Suites – Suite-level seats offer all kinds of amenities including VIP parking, in-seat waiter service, access to the many lounges around the stadium, and much more. Views from this location are pretty good and will give you a much more comfortable feeling when watching the game.
Parking is a Necessity
Access to parking spots is quite a challenge in Oklahoma. Use many of the different parking apps like ParkWhiz and SpotHero to find a good parking spot before the game. It’s best to have this ahead of time to avoid any delays from entering the stadium. You will spend anywhere from $10-$20 on the parking spots. Keep this in mind when budgeting your tickets for the night.
Picking the Right Ticket Option
We want to go through several different ticketing options that are available to you. Depending on how many games you want to go see will determine which method to follow.
Season Tickets – Having tickets all season long for an NBA team can be a great investment. If the team is playing well you can be sure to not only recoup the money from the games you go to but actually make money. As long as you’re committed to selling the seats that you don’t use, this is a great way to buy tickets for the season.
Single Game Tickets – We know that most people will want to purchase a single-game ticket. This is quite possible with many of the different ticketing sites such as SeatGeek and StubHub.
Group Tickets – If by chance you want to see more than one game but don’t want to commit to the season you can get group tickets. Teams will provide 2 to 8 ticket packages for a reasonable price. Keep in mind tickets won’t be to all the best games.
Last Minute Tickets – If you decide you want to go to a game the day of this is a possibility. You can walk up to the stadium without a ticket and purchase one right from your phone. There are a lot of sellers who are unable to sell their tickets or were unable to go to the game. They will offer their tickets for much less just to get back some of the money they have invested. This is a great way to save money for a more risk-tolerant person.
Oklahoma City Thunder Ticket Prices
Season expectations and how they are playing will determine OKC ticket prices throughout the year. We will share some of the ticket prices for some of the upcoming games. These will vary and could change at any time. A hot thunder team will bring in more demand which will cause prices to go up substantially. If you’re going to find cheap Thunder tickets, a down year is when you should be buying. Remember, this is the get-in price. This doesn’t mean the seats are worth the cost.
Opponent | Lowest Ticket Prices |
Charlotte Hornets | $5 |
Detroit Pistons | $4 |
Phoenix Suns | $17 |
Memphis Grizzlies | $20 |
Utah Jazz | $16 |
Yes, there are some cheap prices above. The views from these seats may not be what you want. After further digging, we did find plenty of great seats in 40 dollar range.

Looking for Food Outside the Arena
