Best Time to Buy Memphis Grizzlies Tickets

Is there a better time to buy Memphis Grizzlies tickets? After years of being around the industry, we discovered several things. The perfect ticket is very difficult to find, however, there are times that are better than others.

We like to look for tickets to the game you want to get go to around two weeks before it starts. This is an area where supply and demand are fairly equal. Ticket sellers will continue to try to get a premium on their sales. As soon as demand starts to drop off, is when you need to act. Keep an eye out on several different sections in the arena. This will allow you to watch price fluctuations.

Consider going to games during the week. A game on a Tuesday night is much cheaper than a game on a Friday night. Although the NBA has tons of games during the week people still want to go on a weekend.

Another thing to consider is who the Memphis Grizzlies are playing. A game against the Detroit Pistons won’t be as crazy as a game against the Los Angeles Clippers, or San Antonio Spurs. Match-ups are everything when it comes to ticket prices.

Where to Sit at the FedEx Forum?

There are thousands of seats inside the FedEx Forum. Finding the one that works for you will come down to price and experience. It’s critical that you do have a budget, but don’t let that stop you from upgrading.

Lower Level – The lower level in any arena is the place to be. This gives you the best access to the court both in site and sounds. Look for section 104 if you want to sit behind the Memphis grizzlies bench and look for 106 if you want to sit behind the visiting team’s bench. You can also look to sit in areas 110 and 111 if you would like to be near the tunnels.

Floor Seats – If you can afford a floor seat you’ll surely have a great time. These are the best seats in the house, but most likely the most expensive as well.

Upper Level – We say over and over again that you should avoid the upper level at all costs. You might get cheap tickets to a game, but consider how far you will be from the court. Remember, keep the experience of going to a game as close up as possible.

Club Seats – There are plenty of club seats surrounding the arena. These seats will provide some really great views and a lot of comforts.

Theater Boxes – The theater boxes around the arena are pretty cool. You can expect everything from all-inclusive food and soft drinks, reserved parking, less wait at the restrooms, and much more.

Suites – If you can gain access to a suite you’re going to be in good shape. These seats are considered more of an NBA socialization location than actually taking in the game. Watching the Memphis Grizzlies game from a suite will include upscale food and beverages, an in-suite attendant, private bathrooms, and much more.

Grab a Parking Spot

Parking is just one of those things you wish you didn’t have to deal with. If you plan on driving to a Memphis Grizzlies game you better have a parking pass. On average, you will pay around $15 to park your car. We suggest using one of the many mobile apps such as ParkWhiz and SpotHero. Having a parking pass ahead of time could save you some hassle.

Season Tickets – Although season tickets seem like quite an investment, they could be worth it. With a good team in Memphis, selling the seats you don’t use shouldn’t be that difficult. The goal is to get your money back on the games you attend and potentially make a little money on your upfront investment.

Single Game Tickets – You are most likely here looking for tickets to one game. You’re more likely to pay a bigger premium for seats.

Group Tickets – This is a great way the NBA provides access to more than one game a season. They put together nice packages of games for you to attend. Anywhere from 2 to 8 games throughout the year. The only downside is you won’t be able to select the games you will attend. Make sure you check your calendar before purchasing group tickets.

Last Minute Tickets –  The great thing about going to NBA basketball games is you can wait to the last minute to buy tickets. This option is available to those who have a little bit more risk tolerance. Walking up to the arena without a ticket using one of the many mobile apps, you can find plenty of seats. Most sellers who were unable to attend the game or weren’t able to sell their seats originally will reduce the price dramatically. This is a great way for you to save money.
