Best Place to Sit in the Little Caesars Arena
There is a lot of moving parts when finding the best seat inside the Little Caesars Arena. We will go over many of the different areas to consider and maybe one to leave off the list if you can. We know how expensive game and concert tickets are, so keep your budget in good place. As we go through the different sections, other than some of the courtside seats, the seating will be for both basketball and hockey. Each concert event will be on a case-by-case basis.
Lower Level – With any standard NBA arena you can expect the lower level to be the bowl around the court. If you can find tickets in sections 121, 122, or 123, you’ll be located in some of the best seats on the lower level. Look for section 120 to sit behind the Detroit Pistons and section 124 if you wish to sit behind the opponent. For hockey games, look for section 123 if you want to sit behind the Red Wings bench and section 121 if you want to be behind the visiting team’s bench.
Courtside Seats – Some of the hardest and most expensive tickets are courtside seats. For many reasons including the best views of the players, courtside will be the place to be. When searching for tickets here you will most likely have to buy resale tickets. You may get lucky once in a while. Another thing to consider is that there are 3 rows on both sides of the court. Try to get the front row. These could end up being way more expensive than one row back.
Upper Level – This is the place to avoid if you can afford it. Located on the upper decks of the building, no matter if it is a sport or concert, we suggest you not buy tickets here. Although tickets become more affordable and sometimes really cheap when the teams aren’t good, the experience will be not as good versus lower levels.
Mezzanine – These are sections within sections that provide some of the better views inside the arena. If you can find some sweet deals in the mezzanine go for it.
Michigan First Gondola – How about a box in the upper deck? These tickets will be more expensive, but they will also be a fair price from where you are sitting. Consider these if you have a large group.
Blue Cross Suites – Although the sponsor may change from time to time, these suites are some of the nicest you will find in the NBA. There are over 60 of them. Each one will have all kinds of amenities including free parking, exclusive bathrooms, coat closets, fireplace areas, and all kinds of complimentary food and beverages.
Loge Boxes – Thinking about suites, then think about the loge boxes. These are on the lower level and provide a smaller side to a suite. With only up to 6 tickets, this is a great way to take a small party to the game. You even have access to barstool seating.
Comerica Players Club – Who doesn’t love a club to go along with their courtside seats? This is a great way to take in pregame or halftime. It even gives you close-up views of both Pistons and Red Wings players coming in and out of the locker room.
Other Clubs – There are several other clubs around Little Caesars Arena for you to check out. There will be plenty of complimentary food and beverages as well as private restrooms and premium parking. There are always upgrades within clubs so seek out each one to determine if it is for you. Currently, they have the Huntington Legends Club, Motorcity Casino Club, and the Labatt Blue Club.
There are plenty of options when it comes to finding the best seat in the Little Caesars Arena. This will come down to your budget and the type of event you want to take in. Once concerts are set up, try to look for the sections on the floor. This will give you the best vantage point of the stage.
History and Facts
Little Caesars Arena is considered one of the newer stadiums in the United States. Construction started in 2014 and the doors opened in 2017. Construction costs exceeded over $860 million. It’s amazing how much more this costs compared to some of the older venues like the Moda Center or the Smoothie King Center.
It is now home to the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Red Wings. This makes for a very busy fall and winter schedule. It has a capacity of just over 20,000 for basketball and 19,500 for hockey. On a good stage setup, you can see up to 22,000 people having a good time at a concert.
The first two events were a Red Wings preseason game against the Boston Bruins. The Pistons played their first game on October 7, 2017, against the Charlotte Hornets.
Some other major events that have passed through in its short life include the League of Legends Championship Series, Wrestling, Figure Skating, Disney on Ice, and Combat Sports.
Some big-name performers have also visited Little Caesars Arena. Performers such as Imagine Dragons, Halsey, Dead & Company, Lana Del Ray, Harry Styles, Post Malone, and Khalid have all made their presence felt in this arena. There will be plenty of great acts to follow as well. Be sure to check the listings for all the big events coming up.
Find a Parking Spot
Before you go ahead and drop a lot of money on the next Little Caesars Arena event, don’t forget you’ll need to park the car. If you can take public transportation you could save yourself a good amount of money. However, unless you have a suite, courtside seats, or some kind of club-level access, you’ll most likely have to fork over more money to park your car. You can expect to pay $20 for a parking spot and as you get closer you can even see your price go up to $35. There are a few things that will make the price go up or down. We suggest you use one of the many different mobile parking applications to help you find a spot ahead of time. This could save you the hassle of when you arrive.
Restaurants Around the Little Caesars Arena
Outside of the arena are places you can check out to grab a bite before or after the event. We decided to list a few places for you to consider. No matter the event, you are sure to get a good meal.

Harry’s Detroit – Before or after a game this is the place for you. Get all kinds of pub food and some good drinks to go along with it. This is the place for you if you want to share a lot of appetizers. Check it Out.

Arrival Expectations
Arenas and stadiums are advancing faster than we know. Technology is getting better and faster which provides a lot of things. Cashless arenas and mobile tickets are the two big things to think about when arriving. Be sure to have your mobile ticket on your phone ready to be scanned. This is a real pain if you aren’t prepared.
Another thing you need to think about is security. You are not allowed to bring any bag whatsoever into the arena. Some excuses such as medical or baby bags will be accepted, but don’t bother to bring in a purse.
Covid-19 – Although things have settled down since the beginning of the pandemic, Covid will keep lurking for some time. However, this won’t stop the events from happening. As of right now, there are no requirements for masks and vaccinations. If you don’t feel well try and stay home. You can always wear a mask if you don’t want to be around so many people. The choice is yours.
