We feel like two weeks prior to the game you want to see is a great spot for you to start looking for tickets. There are a lot of tickets available at this time and there are also a lot of buyers as well. This will keep the ticket price pretty fair across the board. As demand starts to slip ticket prices will go lower as well. The sellers of those tickets will tend to reduce the ticket prices to avoid not being able to sell their seats.

Field Level – The field level is considered some of the best seats in the stadium. This gives you access to the sights and sounds of being at an NFL game. Look for sections 105 through 107 if you would like to sit behind the Houston Texans bench. If you would like to sit behind the opponent’s bench look for sections 125 through127.
Mezzanine Level – The mezzanine level at an NRG stadium consists of plenty of seats. They provide access to the stadium, but the views aren’t as good as the lower level or premium seats.
Gridiron Level – The gridiron level is considered the upper level of the stadium. These seats will give you the furthest views and we highly recommend you don’t sit here. Club Level Seats – There are definitely plenty of club-level seats around the stadium. Consider the Verizon club, Chairman’s club, and Directors club. All these locations provide premium seating that provides excellent perks. Look for VIP parking for gas, private restrooms, all-inclusive food and soft drinks, and comfortable seats.
Suites – When dealing with suite-level seats you are talking about the best seating. If your budget can afford seats at this level we highly recommend you check out some luxury suites. You have access to retractable window walls, a suite attendant, high-end TVs to watch replays on, private restrooms, and much more.
Parking Around the Stadium
One of the biggest hassles of going to a football game is parking your car. There are plenty of parking spots around the stadium, but some offer more than others. You can expect to pay around $30 to park your car and depending on how close you get you may end up spending around $150. Make sure you get your parking pass ahead of time if you can to avoid any problems along the way.
Restaurants Near NRG Stadium
If you or the people you are with are not really into stadium food there are several restaurant options in the region. We list a couple of options in the area, but be sure to look for anything that you may be into that’s nearby.
Pappasito’s Cantina – This is a great Tex-Mex type restaurant near the stadium. You can expect great service with some nice nachos and other decent food. It’s a nice way to start or finish your day.
Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen – How about some nice New Orleans-style seafood, steaks, and salads. You have access to some great-tasting dishes with really good service. Although it can be a little pricey this restaurant provides you with a nice way to finish your day.
Hotels Close to NRG Stadium
You may be coming from a far location and need a place to stay the night. The good thing is Houston provides you with plenty of hotels in the area. We list a couple of options for you to consider and recommend that you take a look at each one individually for both pricing and amenities.
Wyndham Houston near NRG Park / Medical Center – This hotel is considered a three-star hotel in the area. It will provide you with a nice clean room and get you through the night. You have access to breakfast and good service. You only pay around $110 a night.
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Houston – Greenway Plaza – This Doubletree will provide you with an excellent stay. You can expect to pay around $120 a night. You have access to some nice amenities and the location is fantastic.
Ticket Options to Consider
If you plan to go to more than one game this season we have a different option for you. We also have a ticketing option for those that like to decide at the last second.
Season Tickets – If you’ve never thought about purchasing season tickets it may be the right time. Getting season tickets provides you access to every game for the whole season. Although this comes with a high expense, consider it as an investment. The goal is to sell the seats you don’t use throughout the season. If you can recoup the money you spent on the games you went to even better. Like any investment, you can’t go in knowing whether you’re going to make money on your tickets or not.
Last-Minute Tickets – A lot of people will decide that they want to go to Houston Texans game the night before or the day of the game. You do have plenty of options if you plan on going this way. You can walk up to the stadium with your phone and purchase tickets from sellers that were unable to sell their seats or were unable to go at the last minute. The Houston Texans are a relatively new team to the NFL. They were founded in 1999 and had their first season was in 2002. They have been part of the AFC South division since there inception.
