The Houston Dynamo began to play in MLS in 2006 after relocating the San Jose Earthquake franchise. Luckily for the fans in Houston, the San Jose team they welcomed in were previously two-time MLS Cup winners. The experience on the field combined with the investment by the new organization led to two straight MLS trophies for the new club following their debut. The Dynamo made it to MLS Cup twice more and lifted their first US Open Cup trophy in 2018. The club has been home for several USMNT stalwarts during the previous era – Brian Ching, Ricardo Clark, Geoff Cameron, DaMarcus Beasley, and Brad Davis, as well as Canadian National Team star Dwayne De Rosario.
