We would like to not only give information about the Grand Ole Opry House but also more specific information on how you can get the best seats in the Grand Ole Opry House. Country music wouldn’t be what it is today without the Grand Ole Opry. There is a lot of history of how we got where we are today. We would like to share some of that information with you. We’ll go over some of the best seats in the Grand Ole Opry House, upcoming scheduling, past performers, a deeper look into the Grand Ole Opry, parking, and some potential restaurant ideas. Listed right below are open dates that are on the schedule. You can select a date that works for you or you can select the load more button. This will take you to all of the open dates ahead.
Where to Sit at the Grand Ole Opry House
The Grand Ole Opry seating chart is pretty straightforward. We will break down what we think will be the best bang for your buck. If the amount you spend doesn’t really matter then don’t worry about it.
Always start with the front sections closest to the stage. Sections 1-7 will carry more than likely the most expensive tickets. You can save going from sections 3-5 and picking seats in 1-2 or 6-7. You don’t have to get front-row seats. If you are in the back in section 4 you will have the best sound.
The next seat we suggest is on the balcony over the middle. This is section 19-21. If you can land the top three rows up there you’ll be good to go.
Although sections 8-12 are on the lower level, they fall under the balcony. This creates a closed-in feeling. These are still good seats, but we suggest you go after 18 or 22 over these.
The upper level, which really isn’t that far, includes sections 25-37. We think sections 30-32 should be your first option even if you spend a little more. Having that stage center upper seat is nice compared to some others.
How much are Grand Ole Opry tickets? If you are fortunate to get tickets directly from their site the better you will be. This will also come down to which event you attend. The longer you wait the more likely prices will rise. We talk about a lot of factors that will dictate the price. Be ready to spend a minimum of $45. This will get you in the door. You can then find tickets at almost $1000. We feel like you can do way better than this so don’t force it.
Picking Tuesday – Friday – Saturday
Although other events get lined up during the week, these are the mainstays for the Grand Ole Opry. If you are visiting from out of town you’ll have to pick a night that works for you. Although you will find prices on a Friday or Saturday to be higher, this isn’t always the case. Don’t let this be a deciding factor.
Upcoming Schedule
You can look at the event calendar on their site. You will see a lot of the same names and a lot of new names as well. This is the pattern of the schedule. If you can get lucky and get tickets to a show with a big name then go for it. In the end, you’ll have to get tickets based on when you are arriving. Who is playing at the Grand Ole Opry tonight? If you decide to go at the last minute you will have the option. For example, there are resale tickets ranging from the balcony to center stage. You’ll see tickets for $75 to $800 on the resale market. You will also see prices swing as well. We don’t recommend waiting until the last minute. Prices will creep up and hurt.
Some of the Best Performers from the Past
With so much rich history it’s only conceivable that many mega stars have passed through the Grand Ole Opry. If you are able to check out the museum you can see the in-depth database of performers.
You also have to remember that a lot of stars that passed through weren’t exactly at their pinnacle or even close to their career. Performers such as Morgan Wallen, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Keith Urban, and Darius Rucker are the ones that stood out right away.
Each week new artists will come through and perform. Hopefully, you are lucky to see some before they really make it. This is the great thing about music. You never know what the future holds for the performer you are listening to.
