Right Time to Buy Denver Nuggets Tickets
There are definitely a lot of considerations when it comes to purchasing Denver Nuggets basketball tickets. We want to go over some of the things you should think about ahead of time. If the Denver Nuggets are having a better-than-average season you can expect ticket prices to be above face value consistently.
We think that two weeks before the game you want to see is a great spot to find cheaper tickets. You won’t always find the best deal, so keep this in mind when you finally make your purchase. Supply and demand will be pretty strong around this time. As the demand starts to diminish, prices should start to go lower.
The opponent they are facing will also dictate the price of the tickets. A game against the Los Angeles Lakers will definitely be more expensive than against the Memphis Grizzlies. Consider going to one of these games against weaker opponents to save a few dollars.
Also, consider going to games during the week versus the weekend. Games during the week tend to be less expensive than the games on the weekend. With so many games in a season, there is always a price point that will fit your budget.
Where to Sit at Ball Arena?
We like to think of a good seat like a good memory. Be willing to spend a little bit more money than you would like to make your experience that much better. We will go over several sections in the arena.
Lower Level – Besides courtside seats the lower level is most likely the area you want to be. You have access to great views, the sounds of the game, and much more. Look for section 148 if you want to sit behind the Nuggets bench. You can also sit behind the opposing bench in section 102. If you want to get a high five from one of the players look for the tunnel entrance sections between 130 and 132.
Club Level – Our favorite section in any arena is the club level. Not only to get access to better drinks and food, but you have plenty of other amenities to go along with it. A waitstaff to help you out, better bathrooms, and much more comfortable seats.
Luxury Suites – You can expect great things when you’re in a luxury box. You have access to huge screen TVs, indoor lounges, complimentary VIP parking, free food and soft drinks, and a suite attendant.
Balcony Level – The upper level is one area we wish you would avoid. This will take away the experience when going to a game. Although it will get you in the stadium, it just won’t give you that in-depth feel that you are looking for. We highly recommend you avoid upper-level seats if you can.
Courtside Seats – You’ve seen it 100 times on TV, courtside seats are the place to be. If you can afford the courtside location you will have the best seats in the house. A memory made on a courtside seat will last forever. Be willing to spend a small fortune for the seats.
Finding an Affordable Parking Spot
Can you find affordable parking for a Denver Nuggets basketball game? Like any arena around the country, parking is at a premium. Unless you have VIP parking you will most likely pay around $25 to park your car. We highly recommend you get a parking pass from one of the many different parking apps or use a site like SeatGeek for a pass. This will save you from any hassle when you arrive.
Ticketing Choices to Consider
You do have several different options when it comes to purchasing tickets. We would like to go over some of these choices.
Single Game Tickets – If you only want to go to one game you can purchase your tickets from any of the major ticket sellers online. We suggest using a site called SeatGeek for any transaction.
Season Tickets – If you’re a big-time Nuggets fan and wish to go to more than a couple of games this season you may want to select season tickets. Although this can be quite expensive you do have options to not only recoup your money but actually make money on the season. You can choose which games to go to and sell the tickets to the rest. If you were to go against weaker opponents, you can then sell tickets to the games against the more widely watched teams.
Group Tickets – A lot of teams offer group tickets for purchase. This can be anywhere from 2-8 games on the season. Although we like this option, more than likely you won’t get to see the teams you really want to watch.
Last Minute Tickets – If you are a fan with a little bit more risk tolerance, going to the stadium as the game starts is an option for you. You can walk up and purchase your tickets from those sellers that were unable to sell their tickets or attend the game. Although you may get shut out from going in you can be sure to potentially save a lot of money.

Some of the great players that have come through the organization include Dikembe Mutombo, Nikolai Jokic, Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, and Alex English.
Eating within Reach of the Arena
If you plan to go to a night game you may want to have some food beforehand. Some people don’t care for stadium food and there are plenty of options around the arena.
Avelina – You have great American plates and drinks as well as an extensive menu of beer options. The food is really good and the service is spot on.
The Capital Grille – The Capital Grille is more of an upscale location. With this refined dining, it’s a great place to take a date. Enjoy a nice meal before attending a Denver Nuggets game.
Need a Nice Place to Stay
You do have plenty of options when it comes to staying the night. If you are coming from out of town or you just don’t feel like driving all the way back home you have several choices. We list a couple of options for you below.
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Denver Downtown – The Springhill location will provide you with excellent accommodations and service. You will be staying the night for about $150.
Hilton Denver City Center – The Hilton will guarantee you a decent stay. You will have access to a clean room and free breakfast in the morning. The service is great and the location is spot on for your needs. You’ll end up spending around $90 a night.
