The American Airlines Center sits in the Victory Park area of downtown Dallas. The location gives great access to the arena without sacrificing the “downtown” feel. It places permanent host to the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and the NHL’s Dallas Stars. With a capacity of 20,000 seats, the arena is large enough to accommodate any fan’s needs.
When it’s not hosting sporting events, the arena welcomes some of the biggest concert tours. Justin Timberlake, Pink, and Muse have all played shows in front of thousands of fans. Other events like Disney on Ice and Cirque Du Soleil frequent the arena as well.

For Sporting Events: As with any ticket purchase, where to sit boils down to budget vs. want. Everyone wants to sit courtside and yell at the players, but few people get that opportunity. Let’s be more realistic.
If you’re ready to spend some big bucks and impress your company, sections 208-211 are club-level seats with access to an in-service lounge area for eating and drinking. Oh, and did we mention the ideal, elevated center-court seats?
For a great view of the action with a substantially cheaper price tag, sections 106-107 are in the lower bowl across from the benches. The views are best for the avid fan, and the price tag is much more realistic. The lower you go in the bowl, the more expensive you’ll find the tickets.
Family outings are have always been an integral part of sports, so if you’re ready to bring the family, we recommend sections 330-332. These upper deck seats have easy access for the kids without giving up too much of the game experience.
Sometimes, you want to go to the game, but the only focus is the price. That’s fine too! You can find inexpensive tickets when you look in the right places and search for the right times. We recommend sections 318-320. These upper-level seats are in the corner providing an impressive view of the action.
For Concerts: Almost everyone agrees that the best place to enjoy a concert is on the floor right in front of the stage. If being too close to the stage is not your cup of tea, you can stay on the floor and find a head-on view of the stage from sections 13-15. Just like with the sports seats, keep your budget in mind when looking at the head-on tickets.
In the American Airlines Center, the best options for a combination of price and views of the stage are sections 119 and 120. You get a blend of good proximity to the stage, excellent sound quality, and of course, much easier access in and out of your seats.
Pushing further back to sections 316-319, you’ll find some of the cheapest tickets without sacrificing the great views. If the price is your biggest concern, we suggest starting there and working your way around the upper deck to find the seats you want.
What To Expect When You Arrive:
Security and Bag Policy: All attendees are subject to metal detector screening, visual inspection, and a thorough bag inspection at the entrance. Bags over 14”x14”x6” are not allowed. For a full list of policies and what to expect, see the Arena Policies on the arena’s website.
Parking: The American Airlines Center partnered up with Uber making them one of the preferred rides of the arena even offering a discount code for riders. If you prefer to drive, there are over 3,000 parking spots located just a short walk from the arena entrance.
American Airlines Center Experience
If you’re ready for a meal before or after the show, we recommend checking out Shooters, which is almost directly across from the arena. This large sports bar features pub grub, incredible tacos, and the perfect atmosphere for before or after the game.
The American Airlines Center sits close to incredible food and lodging choices, so you’re taken care of before, during, and after the show. Don’t miss out on your chance to live the experience too.
